In a time of hardship for Alto Adige’s wine producers, Christian Schrott, parish priest of the small village of Tramin, Verona and later Member of the Austrian Parliament, founded this cooperative in 1898 in order to protect the livelihood and future of the wine producers from this mountain area. Thanks to the strength of this union of 160 families, Cantina Tramin has become one of Alto Adige’s most respected cooperatives and an example recognized all over the world. Driven by great passion, they have created a delicate symphony of scents of their region with every sip of wine and aromas, evoking emotions your senses will never forget; a true expression of their unique terroir.
