A trading house founded by Jean-Baptiste Dubos in the 18th century, just as ‘new French clarets’ were enjoying the biggest boom in their history. They specialize in Bordeaux wines; the most prestigious bottles (Crus Classés, second wines) stand side by side with less well-known but equally substantial wines.Dubos has its own 29 000sq.ft storage facilities containing more than 1,500,000 bottles. Over generations, strong relationships were established with the most prestigious estates over subsequent generations, allowing Dubos to navigate the most difficult times in the history of Bordeaux winemaking, steadily developing new export markets right up to Philippe Dubos, the final descendant of Chevalier Dubos, who ran the family company until 1989.
