VILLA DELLA TORRE

Meet Marilisa Allegrini !
Marilisa Allegrini is the President of the Group that bears her name. Her journey in the wine industry
began in 1983 after the passing of her father, Giovanni Allegrini. Marilisa took on the role of CEO and
became the international face of the family’s winery. She worked tirelessly to make Valpolicella known throughout
the world, consequently earning her the title of “Lady Amarone”.
The newly formed Marilisa Allegrini Group aims to blend tradition with innovation, focusing on
sustainability and the promotion of Italian cultural heritage. Their estates not only produce
esteemed wines like Amarone and Brunello di Montalcino but also serve as venues for art and hospitality,
reflecting Marilisa’s vision of integrating wine with broader cultural experiences.
Villa Della Torre by Marilisa Allegrini – Where Dreams Come True

Villa Della Torre, a magical icon of the Italian Renaissance, is now the proprietary estate of the
Mastella Allegrini Family and is the headquarters of the Marilisa Allegrini Group.
The wine project championed by the Villa Della Torre company is based on the enhancement of
two areas with a strong identity and a supreme vocation for winemaking: Valpolicella Classica and Lugana.
Valpolicella has a wealth of magnificent grapes and fine wines and has been renowned since ancient times,
while in Lugana, vine cultivation is uniquely aided by Lake Garda’s precious ecosystem.

Super Tuscan Wines
Super Tuscans are high-quality, red wines from Tuscany, Italy, known for blending traditional
Sangiovese with international grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah.
This rebellion against traditional Tuscan wine regulations in the 1970s led to the creation of these
innovative wines, often with elegant labels and creative names.
Key characteristics of Super Tuscans:
- Blends of grapes:
Super Tuscans typically include Sangiovese, the region’s native grape, along with
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah.
- Unofficial category:
The term “Super Tuscan” is not a formal appellation but rather a way to describe
these non-traditional blends.
San Polo

San Polo wines richly embody the harmonious union of exceptional wine making, sustainability, and innovation.
Located in one of Tuscany’s most enchanting areas, the estate has forged a deep-rooted connection with its
terroir, with each harvest reflecting the beauty and complexity of the land.
But the true beating heart of this place is its passionate and highly skilled team, united by a shared
commitment to honor the authenticity of the territory and showcase the finest expression of its wines.
Poggio al Tesoro

These wines have earned international and critical acclaim since their debut.
Founded in 2001 in the heart of Bolgheri, it emerged from a vision to explore remarkable new frontiers,
shaping a winery that embraces the future with both ambition and foresight. Poggio al Tesoro was born,
a true reflection of the company’s vision and passion. Each bottle encapsulates excellence,
deeply connected to the land that continuously inspires and captivates. Today, Poggio al Tesoro is
more than a winery; it is a dynamic and cohesive venture, transforming its vision into reality through diligent work,
in both the vineyard and cellar, constantly evolving while staying true to its roots.

New Signature Wines by Villa Della Torre

Peaks & Valleys
This new selection is cheerful and light, but also modern, structured and deep.
“Peaks & Valleys is not just a new brand” it represents Verona’s unique identity and harmonised expression.
Four new wines have been created under the Peaks & Valleys label and as signature wines by Marilisa Allegrini.
In the heart of Valpolicella in 2024, an innovative and international wine project culminated starring Marilisa Allegrini.
Alongside her husband and daughters she undertook this new production path with the help of expert and
authoritative Italian wine professional, Andrea Lonardi. These wines represent a contemporary reinterpretation of tradition,
spotlighting an innovative oenological approach which involves:
– Shorter drying at low controlled temperatures to preserve the freshness of the fruit;
– Long maceration to achieve complexity, structure and balance between tannins and acidity;
– Aging of less than two years in large wooden barrels and concrete, followed by a long aging in the bottle.
