Château Vari Monbazillac

2017

Semillion

A distinguished organic sweet wine from the Monbazillac appellation in southwest France, crafted exclusively from hand-harvested Sémillon grapes affected by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea). The grapes are harvested through successive passes in the vineyard, ensuring only the finest naturally concentrated berries are selected. Following gentle pressing and fermentation, the wine is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, allowing it to develop remarkable depth, complexity, and elegance. The result is a beautifully balanced dessert wine with rich aromas of honey, apricot, peach, quince, and candied citrus, complemented by a luscious palate and refreshing acidity. Its long, refined finish and excellent aging potential make it an exceptional pairing for foie gras, blue cheeses, fruit desserts, and special occasions.

Premium Alternative to Sauternes.
