The Diversitas range is Talamonti’s more contemporary line, created as a tribute to the biodiversity and natural richness of Abruzzo. The wines are named after native animals found across the region.
Il Polpo Pinot Grigio Terre d’Abruzzo IGP is part of Talamonti’s Diversitas range, made from 100% Pinot Grigio. It is a fresh, elegant white with aromas of pear, golden apple and white fruit, followed by ripe apple, peach and subtle floral notes on the palate. The wine is fermented in stainless steel at low temperatures, with micro-oxygenation, and receives a few months of bottle ageing to preserve its freshness and fruit character.
The name Il Polpo, meaning “the octopus,” reflects the Diversitas theme of celebrating Abruzzo’s biodiversity, with the common octopus found along the region’s Adriatic coast. It is particularly well suited to raw seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, sushi, light salads and as an aperitif.
