The second wine of Château Mauvesin Barton in Moulis-en-Médoc, produced from the estate’s younger vines.This is a blend of 46% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, mainly previously used. It shows a brilliant garnet colour with an expressive nose of spice, white pepper and strawberry jam, while the palate is structured and generous, with fresh fruit, savoury character and supple, gently rolling tannins. It is an approachable Médoc red suited to red meats, game and hearty dishes.
