Amarone di Villa Della Torre is notable for its particular intensity and rich aromatic profile. Careful aging in wood, maintaining respect for the fragrance of the fruit, yields a well-balanced tannic note that enhances the wine with further complexity. The wine ages for 18 months in 10–25 hl oak casks, followed by 12 months of bottle aging. It is deep ruby red in color, while the nose expresses hints of cherry and marasca cherry with pleasant, gentle notes of vanilla and spices. On the palate, the substantial tannic structure is well integrated and the finish is long and persistent. Ethereal and balanced, its freshness sets it apart from the traditional canons of Amarone. It will take on further complexity with aging in the bottle.
